Commodore, Task Force 59, Commander Unmanned & Artificial Intelligence Integration in Bahrain, Nov. 21, 2021. Secretary Austin is traveling in the Gulf region to deliver remarks at the annual International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Manama Dialogue and will meet with senior government officials to affirm the strength of our defense partnership and discuss joint priorities in the Middle East. In the United Arab Emirates, Secretary Austin will meet with senior government officials to reaffirm the importance of the U.S.- UAE strategic partnership.
