Within the framework of the project “Together with the EU to border security”, the border guards of the Mogilev-Podolsk detachment received new patrol boats. The project, executed by IOM Ukraine, is funded by the European Union.

The UMS-425 CC patrol boats will be used for state border protection, border control, wildlife protection and joint patrols with Moldovan counterparts.
The resulting boats are designed for difficult operating conditions on open water. Each sailboat accommodates a team of four, equipped with life jackets, as well as an echo sounder used to determine the depth of the water beneath the vessel.
Such means of movement help to better prevent illegal activities at the border and fight against smuggling.
